With the airline industry reporting 17-25% of total operating costs are related to fuel and the jump we've seen in the cost of fuel over the past months, fuel tankering has become a consideration. Tankering does affect the organization's bottom line, but it has implications on the environment, the aircraft airframe, performance of the aircraft and safety as well.
